About the Pioneers’ Heritage Trail

Learn more about Hornsby Shire’s spectacular history on the Pioneers’ Track, an easy bushwalk path that traces our area’s early European history through Epping, Beecroft and Carlingford. The area also has a rich indigenous history of the Wallumeda clan, one of the many clans of the Darug people. Along with the fascinating historical importance of this track, walkers can also see important tree communities and local fauna including the Powerful Owl and Sugar Glider.
